Yoga/Somatic Education

Jeremy Sortore teaches a contemplative, alignment-based hatha yoga practice grounded in both classical yoga tradition and a modern scientific perspective. His influences outside of classical hatha yoga include somatic modalities such as Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, and Rolfing. His primary teacher is Tias Little of Santa Fe, NM.

Jeremy offers private and group instruction and is currently developing workshops focused on the intersection of yoga and the voice, bringing the benefits of yoga to communities of performing artists and helping yoga instructors find an authentic voice for teaching. His workshop for yoga teachers entitled “Shiva’s Drum: Voice Training for Yogis” will be presented in Denver in Spring 2011.

Please contact Jeremy to learn more about these offerings, to schedule a private session, or to inquire about his current class schedule.
